About the Event

We are excited to announce a joint event with San Diego Collaborative Arts Project/CoLab and Maker Faire San Diego. This event is part of a NEW series for Maker Faire San Diego. The team is putting on a limited series of mixers in some of San Diego’s coolest makerspaces, all before the BIG EVENT in October. This is to help our community of makers, creatives, and innovators mix, mingle, meet each other, and get inspired. Our hope is to build a stronger and more connected community together!

Join us for a fascinating evening with San Diego Collaborative Arts Project and their workspace, CoLab. Come view several community art builds before the crews head off to Burning Man. The evening will feature a tour of the CoLab workspace and speaking presentations from members of the burner and maker community.

Again, that’s Friday, July 6th, 5 pm – 9 pm @ CoLab

FREE EVENT – but RSVP required! Please RSVP your attendance.

Yes, beer, wine, and light appetizers will be served.

About Our Speakers and Hosts

Stephanie Cucurullo - SDCAP CoLab Burning ManMeet the Maker/Burner: Stephanie Cucurullo

Stephanie is a life-long Burner who took her first trip to the desert in 2009 and has been an active part of the community ever since.   She spent 2 decades as an in-house corporate attorney and intellectual property expert and loves re-imagining what she knows in the service of a very different culture.  She’s been a maker since her mother taught her to sew when she was 12 and began to identify as an artist after a number of years in support roles working on various art projects for Burning Man.  She is passionate about making and supporting others in making – whatever their art may be.
Stephanie is also a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Collaborative Arts Project which sponsors CoLab (a free-to-the-community maker space) and YOUtopia (San Diego’s Official Regional Burning Man Event).
More speakers to come!
